We are a Research Institute from Bucharest, Romania, and we would like a price quotation/sqm for two kind of prepregs (autoclave processable), both with cyanate ester resin OR cyanate ester+epoxy blend, differing by Carbon Fiber type.
Our application is a research project (space), having as target the manufacturing of a satellite electronic housing structure.
For this, we need :
As Resin: cyanat ester or cyanat ester+epoxy blend with the following features :
- Tg minim 150C
- Low moisture absorption (very small CME)
- High resistance to erosion (H atoms) - excellent resistance to micro-cracking
- Very low outgassing
- Resistance to radiation environment (on low orbit)
- Thermal resistance in service (long exposure) curing + postcuring; up to 130 C
- High dimensional stability after curing/postcuring in the range of (-60 up to 130 C)
- max 120 sqm
As fiber: Carbon, unitape:
Prepreg 1 - Ultra High Modulus (>450 GPa)
- 60 % fiber vol. fraction, ply thickness 0.15- 0.18mm
- Max tensile strength in static traction regime, minim 1500 Mpa
- Elasticity modulus, minim 300 Gpa
- Compressive strength, minim 500 Mpa
Prepreg 2 - High thermal conductivity (minim 500 W m-1 K-1)
- 60 % fiber vol. fraction, ply thickness 0.15- 0.18mm
- max 120 sqm
